Weekend Weather Window for Puget Sound SUP

This weekend looks promising for Puget Sound paddlers.

Saturday forecast shows light winds under 5 knots until noon, with temperatures in the low 60s. Sunday may see afternoon winds picking up, so morning sessions are recommended.

Water temp in Elliott Bay is hovering around 52 degrees – wetsuit weather for sure. Air temp differential can cause localized fog near the waterfront before 9 AM.

Best bet: launch from Alki or Golden Gardens before 10 AM for the calmest conditions. Always check current NOAA marine forecasts before heading out on the Sound.

Paddle safe!
