Green Lake Algae Advisory Update

Good news for Green Lake paddlers – the blue-green algae advisory has been lifted as of this week.

King County health officials confirmed water testing shows toxin levels have returned to safe ranges. The advisory had been in place since mid-August.

Green Lake remains one of Seattles most accessible SUP spots with calm, protected waters perfect for beginners. The 2.8-mile loop around the lake offers consistent conditions without boat traffic.

Rentals are available at Green Lake Boat Rental on the east side. Early morning sessions offer the smoothest water before afternoon winds pick up.

Happy paddling!
